Pet Transport Options from Dubai

There are three main ways to fly your pet from Dubai: in-cabin, as excess baggage, or as air cargo (manifested). Each option has different costs, restrictions, and requirements.

In-Cabin Pet Travel

Suitable for pets under ~8 kg (including carrier). Your pet travels in the passenger cabin with you. Most UAE airlines charge AED 200–400 one-way. Requires an IATA-approved soft carrier that fits under the seat.

Excess Baggage (Hold)

Suitable for pets 8–32 kg (in rigid IATA carrier). Your pet travels in a temperature-controlled hold compartment. Typical cost: AED 500–1,500 depending on weight and route.

Air Cargo (Manifested)
